My research develops along two main axes.
First, it seeks to understand phonological systems by grounding typological generalizations in general perceptual principles and production mechanisms.
My second research area investigates the interaction between core grammatical knowledge and other cognitive functions through the study of the progressive deterioration of linguistic abilities in patients with neurodegenerative disorders.
I have a PhD in linguistics from MIT. I am currently a post-doc at the Equipe de Neuropsychologie Interventionnelle (NPI, INSERM U955) at the Institut d’Etudes de la Cognition (IEC) of the Ecole normale supérieure (ENS) in Paris.
